TEA INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup purified water

  • 2 tbsp Hibiscus Flowers (dried)

  • 1 tbsp Rosehips (dried)

GUMMY INGREDIENTS

  • Raw Honey to taste (start with 1-2 tbsp and add to taste)

  • 1 tbsp Inulin Fibre

  • 4 tbsp grass-fed gelatin protein powder

  • 1/2 cup brewed hibiscus & rosehip tea

+ silicone food-grade molds

DIRECTIONS

  • Lay silicone moulds onto a flat cutting board (for easier placement in the fridge).

  • On the stovetop, on low heat, brew the 1 cup water, hibiscus & rosehips in a small pot (to make the tea).

  • With the lid on, bring the tea to a low simmer for a couple of minutes (2-4), stirring occasionally.

  • Turn off the heat to let the tea steep for 10-15 minutes. Keep the lid on the pot.

  • When ready strain the flowers from the tea using a strainer.

  • Measure 1/2 cup of the strained tea & place in a small pot, back on low heat.

  • Place all of the remaining ingredients into the pot, EXCEPT the gelatin. Whisk well.

  • Add the gelatin. Whisk well until smooth. The mixture should be warm but NOT boiling.

  • Once warm, remove from heat.

  • Pour mixture into moulds right away as you do not want the mix to set until in the mold. I use a big dropper to make this easier.

  • Place filled molds in the fridge to set for at least 1 hour.

  • Store in the fridge, in a glass jar for up to 4-5 days.

Leftover tea and flowers uses:

  1. I drink the extra tea warm or I add it to my water bottle for flavored water.

  2. I save the flowers in a piece of cheesecloth for use in my bath! Hello, tea bath!
